Wedding Photography important Information
How to Book your Wedding Date: A $ 400 Deposit is required to book your wedding Day.. Dates will not be held
or secured without payment of a deposit. There is no guarantee how long a certain date will remain open. A
payment of $ 500 is due 6 months before the date of your wedding and then 50 % remaining balance is due 3
months before your wedding date. The remaining balance is due a week before the wedding.
Area of Service & Travel: For the Royal Package, Prestige, Romance, Traditional, and the Diamond Packaged
there is no travel charges for wedding within 60 miles range (120 round trip ) my starting point is Fenton, Missouri.
Travel cost is .45 a mile and if there is any overnight stay you will be charged for that.
Sales Tax: Prices listed on this page do not include sales tax. Sales tax will be added to all purchases.
Photography Coverage: When planning the amount of coverage for your wedding, " hours of photography"
begins when the first photos are taken and continues for the entire time while the photographer is on site. Additional
hours of coverage may be purchased with any package at the rate of $ 40.00 per half hour, and $ 75 per hour. Six
hours is generally enough time to capture everything, from the bride getting ready to the reception? If the events
are more spread out than normal, you might want to consider additional time.
Additional Coverage & Rehearsals: If you are interested in having your rehearsal photographed you should
indicate this when you book your date so the time slot can be held open. Rehearsal coverage is generally $ 175.00
without a package. With a package is $ 75.00
Shipping: If you are in the St. Louis area you may pick up your prints in person and there is no shipping charge. If
you wish to have your prints or albums sent by US mail or UPS you will be charged for the cost of shipping. Wedding
prints can currently be sent to any US address for about $9 priority mail and albums are roughly $15.
All prices are subject to change and packages shown on this page may change at any time: Any prices or package
changes after you book your wedding will not affect your wedding. You are guaranteed all prices that are in effect at
the time you book your wedding date. If prices are lower I will offer the price to you. All Items included in your
package must be redeemed within six months of your wedding: All items that are included in your package, including
album, prints, and etc…must be ordered and redeemed within six months of the date of your wedding. Any
remaining or unused allowance will expire six months after your wedding.
Photo CD: CD will include all of the pictures provided to you as printed proofs. (Photo book) All of the images
provided to a client on CD may be reproduced, distributed, or printed by the client without restriction and without
credit or additional payment to the photographer. The photographer may also use the images for promotional or
advertising purposes. Photos on the CD are high resolution (300 dpi) which is the most common resolution for
commercial printing. Images will generally be sized the same as your proofs, either 4x6 (the most popular) or 4x5,
(upon request). All this can be confusing if you are not familiar with working with high digital images and prints-the
best thing to do is to just explain what you want to do with the images and we can work out a solution to meet your
needs.
Printing from your Photo CD: The JPG flies on your photo CD are the exact same files used for your 4x6 wedding
prints. There is no guarantee, however, that prints you make yourself or have printed from these files will look
exactly like the prints that are provided to you in your wedding package. Color, clarity,brightness,overall quality,will
vary depending on where the prints are made. These differences are due to inconsistencies in the way that different
photo printers will interpret the color information in the JPG file. Low cost print houses (walmart, costco,walgreens,
etc..) can often produce good quality prints but the color and overall quality will vary with each different printing
machine and the way it is calibrated and maintained. I can give you a lab to go to and get you a little of a discount.
When going to this lab you will do it yourself at the machines and please do not use the enhancement button on any
of your prints. The files are already color balanced and edited for the best appearance. If the software at the printer
tries to enhance what has already been enhanced, you may get prints with inaccurate color and tone. The best
advice, if you are having many prints made from your CD at a particular photo printer, is to have one or two prints
made and compare them to the original prints provided by Photos-By-Shell. If you are satisfied with the prints then
go ahead and get the remainder. If you are not satisfied with the results then talk with the print manager or try
another location.
Online Wedding Gallery: All wedding packages include an online gallery of your wedding pictures so that you can
easily share your wedding with friends and family worldwide. Web galleries are normally online within 30 days after
the wedding. Following your wedding you will receive an email with a direct link to your wedding pictures. The
images in your gallery will be optimized for the web viewing and not for printing. So if you try to print them they will
be blurry and low resolution. Individuals can also contact the photographer directly to purchase any of the images in
your web gallery. You may use the images from your web gallery in personal websites or community websites, such
as my space, face book. Your web gallery will remain online for printing for approximately 3 months and if you would
like it back up for another 3 months the charge is $25. Once they are off the printing website they will be up on a
viewing website for a year.
Designing your Wedding Album: There are two ways to go about the design of your album (1) I creatively design
the album myself or (2) you look through your prints and send me a list of photos you want in the album, Either way
works fine and we will be in touch by email or phone and you can make suggestions or changes as the work
progresses. Whether I design the album on my own or if you provide a list of shots to include, the cost of designing
the album are included in the package price.
Black & White prints: In general, any image can be printed in color or black and white. But the best black and
white prints will result when the photographer knows in advance that certain images are intended for black and white
printing. If you want your package to contain black and white or sepia toned prints just let me know in advance.
Comment on minimum number of wedding prints: My style of photography is such that I take a large number of
photos. In most cases the bridal couple will receive more prints in there proof book than what we talked about.
There is no charge for these additional prints and you can make the decision about which ones to place in your
album. Any additional prints will also be included on your photo CD and possibly your slide show. Depending on the
package you purchase.
Creative Techniques: There are wide range of creative techniques that can be applied to your photographs,
subtitle changes in color or toning, mixtures of black and white and color, and other artistic techniques. If you are
searching for a certain " look" I can discuss the options available. There is generally no additional charge for
creative techniques used with the wedding albums in any of the packages.
Wedding Albums provided with the packages are professional high quality bound albums. Prices for additional
albums are available.
Destination Weddings: I am available to travel anywhere. You will be responsible for airfare or hotel fees
